HRX 2023 AbstracX Submission Guidelines “The future of healthcare is virtual, informed by clinical needs, aided by sensors, powered by AI and driven by digital health innovators.” A BOUT HRXA BSTRAC X The HRX AbstracX, powered by the Cardiovascular Digital Health Journal,is the opportunity for selected innovators to show their work amongst the KOLS, executives, investors, and other innovators. Important Dates March 6, 2023: AbstracX Submission opens. May 3, 2023,at 11:59 PM ET: AbstracX Submission closes. June 22 –30, 2023: Notification of Acceptance/Non-acceptance via emails July 6, 2023,at 11:59 PM ET: Deadline to withdraw AbstracX September 20, 2023,at 5 PM PT: Embargo is lifted for accepted AbstracX. WHY HRX? HRX is a convening, explicitly designed to propel strategic brainstorming on how innovations in cardiovascular digital healthcare will impact the present and future. This includes creating space for thought leadership, formal and informal discourse, and opportunities to discuss and exchange ideas to identify the best ways to collaborate, innovate further, and improve care. To achieve this, we need all parties in the EP ecosystem represented. If accepted for publication, CVDHJ will offer complimentary publicationfor these manuscripts and will invite the authors to discuss their findings in an interview with Dr. Hamid Ghanbari (Deputy Editor) during one of the Journal’s podcasts. A BSTRAC XS UBMISSION Tips for a Good AbstracX Submission FollowtheSubmissionGuidelines TheAbstracXSubmissionGuidelinescanbeusedasatoolforsuccess.Theguidelines includeeverythingthatyouneedtoknowabout submittingan AbstracXfor presentation at HRX. BeSuccinct:UseSimpleSentencesandMinimizeAbbreviations Healthcarepracticevariesfromcountrytocountry.Avoidusingjargonandlocal expressions.Abbreviations(unlesstheyarebasicanduniversallyacceptedsuch asAF, VT)shouldnotbe usedinyourAbstracX. ReviewforAccuracy BeforesubmittingyourAbstracX,enlistoneormorecolleaguestodouble-checkthetext, tablesandfiguresforaccuracy.HavingmorethanonecolleaguereviewyourAbstracX andofferconstructivecriticismcanbeextremely beneficial. Adherence to these useful tips will increase the chances that your AbstracX will be rated highly by reviewers and enhancesthe probability thatyourAbstracXwill be selected. Please note that the information submitted in the HRX submission portal will be published as isif the AbstracX is selected. In addition, the designation of Presenting Author should be carefully considered before initiating the AbstracX submissionprocess.Oncethe AbstracXhasbeensubmitted,the PresentingAuthor cannot bechanged. AbstracX Submission & Preparation Guidelines SubmissionPayment: There is no fee to submit an AbstracX for HRX. If selected, the Presenting Author is required to register for HRX. AbstracXTitle • AnAbstracXmusthaveashortspecifictitle(containingno abbreviations)thatindicatesthenatureof the studies. • Titlesshouldnotincludetheauthors’names. • Alwaysusecorrecttitlecase(e.g.,OnlytheBestoftheBestinMedicineStudy Electrophysiology). AbstracXAuthors • AbstracXauthorsarecomprisedofthreedifferenttypes 1. Submitting Author/Corresponding Author: theauthorwhois submittingtheAbstracX;and towhomallcorrespondencefrom theHeartRhythmSocietywillbesent. 2. PresentingAuthor:the author who would present the AbstracX if accepted and who islistedas the firstauthorforpublications. 3. Co-Author(s):alladditionalauthorscontributingtotheAbstracX. • Toavoidschedulingconflicts,anAbstracXauthormayonlyserveasthe PresentingAuthorfornomorethanthree (3)AbstracX. AbstracXText Whenenteringtext,pleaseremember: • Usegenericdrugnames. • Donotbeginsentenceswithnumerals;numbersshouldbespelledout. • Standardabbreviationsmaybeusedwithoutdefinition.Nonstandard abbreviations(whichshouldbekepttoaminimum) mustbeplacedin 5 parenthesesafterthefirstuseofthewordorphraseabbreviated. • Donotincludereferences,credits,orgrantsupportinyourAbstracXbody. • Donotincludethenamesorpersonalinformationofanypatient participatinginthestudyortrial. AbstracXData • MultipleAbstracXappearingtoberedundantversionsofasinglestudywillbe rejected. • AbstracX are not eligible for consideration if published prior to HRX. No AbstracX may bepresentedatHRX ifitissubstantiallysimilartomaterial presentedortobepresentedatamajorinternationalmeetingheldprior to HRX. • Individuals who have submitted AbstracX to other major international meetings and are awaiting notification ofacceptance may also submit AbstracX to the Heart Rhythm Society for consideration for HRX; however, upon acceptance from another organization, it is the responsibility of the author to notify the HeartRhythmSocietyoffice by to withdraw theAbstracX. • The HRX Production Team endorses the position of the American Association for theAdvancementofScienceinrequiringassurancesofthe responsibleuseofanimalsinresearch(AAASResolution:UseofAnimalsin Research,Testing,andEducation).Allsubmissionsmustfollowthese guidelines. • Any human experimentation must conform to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of the World MedicalAssociation(WMADeclarationof Helsinki). • The Presenting Author must ensure that all co-authors are familiar with the data, agree with the stated results,andhaveagreed to be included as authors. • Industry AbstracX Submissions: All submissions are required to focus on science and research and not products or services. AbstracX presentation may not be sales presentations and/or endorsement for products or services. • Right and Release: The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) intends to publish the accepted AbstracX in the September supplement of the Cardiovascular Digital Health Journal. In addition, HRS may capture both the audio and video aspect of a presentation for selected AbstracX. The Heart Rhythm Society requires all presenters at HRX to sign an AbstracX Presenter Letter of Agreement Form for the purposes stated above. 6 AbstracXFormat The total number of characters allowed for the submission is 2,000.The character count includes spaces, punctuation, and special characters. As you enter text into the AbstracX body, a counter deducts characters from the total allowable number ofcharacters. Table or graphics uploaded do not count toward the character count. The maximum number of figures (tables and images) per abstract is 2. Pleasebe sure thatanytext includedinthe graphicwill belegibleat thesizeyou defineforthegraphic. Submittingauthorsarerequiredtosubmittextintheassignedbody section in his/herAbstracXsubmissiontoensuretheAbstracX isformatted correctlyfor publication. Use of Color: Please be sure to use colors in your graphic that can easily be seen in black and white print. Werecommend that you do not use any dark color(s) (i.e., black, blue, dark grey, green, or red) as a background color on animage. AbstracXRevisions • Carefully proofread the AbstracX and make any necessary revisions before the AbstracX submission deadline. • To ensure that the AbstracX receives proper scientific consideration, please make sure that it issubmitted to the appropriate category, as it will determine which Teams score the AbstracX. • ResubmissionofanAbstracXthatiscorrectedorchangedisnotpossibleafter theAbstracXdeadlinedate. Publication: Accepted AbstracX will be published in the online supplement of the Cardiovascular Digital Health Journal,the open access Journal that focuses on the rapidly emerging field of digital medicine across all areas of cardiology. Embargo Policy: Accepted AbstracX are embargoed until 5 PM PT on Wednesday, September 20, 2022. This means that informationregarding any AbstracX submission may not be released before this time. Failure to honor embargo policies will result in theAbstracXbeing withdrawnandbarredfrom presentation. Registration: The Presenting Author is required to register for HRX. Pleasevisitthe HRX webpageformoreinformation.Expensesassociatedwiththesubmission and presentation of an AbstracX are the responsibility of the presenter. Only one author per AbstracX isconsideredthepresenter. AbstracXWithdrawal The Corresponding Author must submit a request to withdraw an AbstracX via the online platform. In the platform, please select “withdraw” from the dropdown menu on the “View Submissions” page. Please note that the Corresponding Author will receive an e-mail confirmationuponcompletionofthewithdrawal. ThedeadlinetowithdrawanAbstracXisThursday, July 6 2023 at 11:59 PM ET. Next >
